Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki (American political advisor) was the 34th White House secretary. She held the post from 2021 until 2022. As a member in the Democratic Party, she was previously the White House deputy presses secretary (2009-2011); White House deputy director of communications director(2009-2011); spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013)-2015; and White House communications director (2015)-2017. Psaki contributed to CNN's politics coverage from 2017 through 2020. Psaki's career began in 2001 when she began working for the reelection campaigns of Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democratic candidate running for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was then appointed as the deputy press secretary for John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki was also the director of communications for Joseph Crowley in the U.S. and also as the regional press secretary for Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned in 2012 for political communication, serving as the press secretary of President Obama’s 2012 election campaign. [20] Psaki resigned as spokesperson for United States Department of State on February 11, 2013. There was speculation she would succeed Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary at the Department of State.[21However, Josh Earnest replaced Carney on May 30, 2014. She was named communications director in the White House and continued to do so until the end of 2015.
